The Dreamweavers: Sophisticated Lady (Loveswept, No 379)
Published in Paperback by Bantam Books(Classic & Loveswept) (January, 1990)
Author: Gail Douglas
Average review score:

Love where you least expect it.
When jazz pianist Pete Cochrane looked up from the keyboard into Lisa Sinclair's smokey, almond-shaped eyes, he missed a beat-or his heart did. Captivated by the exquiste honey-blonde whose lips were the pale pink of a seashell, he began to play Duke Ellighton's "Sophisticated Lady"...and mesmerized the elegant goddess. Stunned the the potent appeal of this musical James Bond who caressed the keys the way a woman was meant to be caressed, Lisa vowed she wasn't looking for a fling with a wandering minstrel and resisted the haunting power of his playing-and the heartstopping urgency in his embrace. At first Pete had thought her untouchable, a woman whose glamorous business in the South of France put her out of his reach, but Lisa was warm, responsive, ready to explode with sensual hunger, yet needed time to reveal herself to him. Could these two vagabond lovers become one witht he wind and join the music of their lives?

Dueling Eagles: Reinterpreting the U. S.-Mexican War, 1846-1848
Published in Paperback by Texas Christian Univ Pr (November, 2000)
Authors: Richard V. Francaviglia and Douglas W. Richmond
Average review score:

Some Essential Articles for the study of the Mexican War
A wonderful and mandatory book for any Mexican War enthusiast. The best article is from one of the two Mexican historians, Miguel A. Gonzalez Quiroga. He examines the humanity on both sides. Mostly ignoring whose fault the war was, he writes a beautiful eulogy of the dead of both sides. Wonderful! The worst article was the other historian from Mexico, Josefina Zoraida Vazguez. She beats a dead horse. Her argument has been argued by American historians since the 60's. However, Sam Haynes's article on relations between the US, Mexico, and Britain is superb. It not only discusses the almost inevitable conflict with Britain and the US prior to the fighting at the Rio Grande, but also points out the why the British were not coming in to help Mexico. Another superb article was by Michael Roth's article on Journalism in the war. Roth's work is a must for those interested in the cultural side of the American soldiers experience in Mexico. Overall and excellent collection of work.

Duncan's War (Bond, Douglas, Crown and Covenant, Bk. 1.)
Published in Paperback by P & R Press (July, 2002)
Authors: Douglas Bond and Matthew Bird
Average review score:

A Wonderful Piece of Christian Literature
When I first got Duncan's War, I had no idea about what to expect. It turned out to be a breath of fresh air from the vast inflow of objectionable fiction that is usually sold today. In less than a week I had read it from cover to cover. Along with a fast-paced, excellent plot, this book offers a very Christian worldview, shows clearly the differences between good and evil, and shows how hard it is to obey the Biblical command of loving your enemies. It makes us keenly aware that Christians in the United States today have it easy compared to the fierce persecutions the devout Scots endured and encourages all Christians to stay in the battle.

Dungeon Master II: Skullkeep: The Official Strategy Guide
Published in Paperback by Sandwich Islands Pub (April, 1995)
Authors: Zach Meston and J. Douglas Arnold
Average review score:

The gamer's savior is here-this is a perfect strategy guide!
When I first bought Dungeon Master 2, I thought it was the best computer game I've ever played. I think it still is! But it's also one of the most challenging, (after all, I'm a novice gamer) and required truckloads of patience, which a gamer pressed for time or just frustrated might not always have (like me)! This strategy guide managed to walk me through the entire game (or only certain parts I had trouble with, so as not to give everything away-you can choose). The author also explains how to solve certain puzzles from the perspective of a character integrated into the storyline of the game, so this guide is not only helpful, but entertaining, too! Imagine reading a fantasy novel while improving your gaming skills! (The story bits also happen to be VERY funny). Prima has taken a new step forward in their strategy guides, for this is by far the most helpful and entertaining one I've ever read, light years ahead of any of their other publications. All in all, this is a guide a player of the Dungeon Master 2 computer game can't live without. It's invaluable in how helpful it is, and will keep this always challenging game enjoyable and enriching for you! Highly recommended!

Duquesne and the Rise of Steel Unionism (The Working Class in American History)
Published in Hardcover by Univ of Illinois Pr (Pro Ref) (October, 2001)
Author: James Douglas Rose
Average review score:

A great book
Rose has written an important book that should be read by all people interested in work and justice. By carefully examining shop floor activism at the mill and life in the Duquesne community, Rose reveals the challenges of forming a union in a key industry beset by a working class divided by skill, ethnicity, and race. Based on the most impressive archival research I have ever encountered, this books stands as a signal achievement in the profession. It is an important story well told! Buy this book!

e-Healthcare: Harness the Power of Internet e-Commerce & e-Care (CD-ROM for Windows & Macintosh)
Published in CD-ROM by Jones & Bartlett Pub (15 February, 2000)
Author: Douglas E. Goldstein
Average review score:

e-Healthcare, The Revolution is Underway
Goldstein provides a timely wealth of information in an easily readable format. The information is well documented and very futuristic; rather than the more typical books that talk about what's already happening. Excellent resources and examples are offered to depict relevant points. I think this is the most comprehenisve book on e-healthcare available today. It is a valuable read for practitioners, managers, and students interested in building core knowledge.

Wonderful book to give as a gift
This book features 3 to 4 page vignettes of about a dozen saints, some well known, some not. Each vignette ends with a couple questions to discuss and a prayer. Very appropriate for the 6 to 10 yr old age group... a great gift to a godchild.
